Finally, I was able to taste Laksa, one of the famous soup dishes in Penang, Malaysia when we got to visit the city.

According to the Wikipedia,

Laksa is a popular spicy noodle soup from the Peranakan culture, which is a merger of Chineseand Malay elements found in Malaysia and Singapore, and to a lesser extent Indonesia.  It is said to have won an award as one of the top 10 dishes in the world.

Ok, sorry my photos does not give justice to this tasty Malaysian pride.  It is actually so yummy!  It has green mangoes which is responsible for the pungent taste, pineapple which makes it sweet and the curry that just makes the Laksa different from any other noodle soup that I have tasted.
